In this tutorial i will show you How to check IP Address in ubuntu 11.10 linux machine step by step with image preview.

STEP 1 :
Click on the DashHome icon as show in the image.Another window will open with search box.

STEP 2 :
Type terminal in that search box.The terminal icon will shown up.

STEP 3 :
Double click the terminal icon.The terminal window will open

STEP 4 :
Type ifconfig in the terminal window to see the IP address.

STEP 5 :
It will show the ip address as shown in the image below.
